Northbank BID projects in the Villiers Street area have focused on ways to enhance the street for pedestrians. This has now been featured in Cross River Partnerships ‘Walkable London Guide’ which promotes a variety of ways to achieve healthy streets in London. The guide has a range of successful interventions, from low exposure walking routes and parklets, to public realm improvements and way finding schemes. The projects that have been delivered across London, through the Clean Air Better Business Programme and the Central London Sub Regional Transport Partnership.
The BID is working with partners to improve the area for those who live, work and visit the area.
The GLA Healthy Streets encourages a variety of project to enhance the public realm and encourage active travel.
