An antique silver-domed trolley is wheeled to the table and with a flourish your roast is served at the table by a Master Carver. You could only be at Simpson’s-in-the-Strand, a beacon of British restaurant theatre for over 170 years. Originally a chess club and coffee house frequented by artists, politicians and writers, even Sherlock Holmes deduced there is no better place to dine.
In 2017, the beloved restaurant refreshed itself and reopened with a bang! Now with a new team and new menu (don’t worry, they still have their signature dishes), this really is a special spot in the Northbank.
