On Thursday 24th October, 12pm-5pm, Northbank Business Improvement District will deliver a ‘Pop-Up Africa’ event, part of the Black History Month celebrations.
Africa in the Courtyard will be held in The Courtyard at St. Martin in-the-Fields and will offer local residents, businesses and employees the chance to experience (and purchase a bit of) Africa without leaving the capital.
The one-day market takeover will see produce and cuisine from all over African and the Caribbean, as well as stallholders offering everything from art, literature, clothing, handcrafted dolls, instruments and interior décor.
The event will transform The Courtyard at St. Martin’s into a vibrant culture zone, bringing the products to life through the experience which will include different genres of dancing, live music, storytelling and much more, aimed at showcasing the best that Africa and it’s diaspora has to offer.
