Pride in London: Pride Parade

After a two-year absence, we are delighted to see Pride in London back as they mark the 50th anniversary of the first Pride march in the UK, which also took place in London, on Saturday 2nd July 2022.

The event includes a large-scale parade, stage performances at Trafalgar Square, Golden Square, and Dean Street, as well as Soho generally being animated by many hospitality venues celebrating Pride.

The detailed Business Information Pack for businesses is now live.  Also, please find a map that highlights the road closures on the day here. For further information about the event and how this may affect you, please check out the website or contact us here.

Local Activity

St Martin in the Fields

St Martin in the Fields will be hosting a FREE afternoon Pride Stage in their outside courtyard at the rear of St Martin’s, just off Trafalgar Square. With free bands and singers and the afternoon culminating with a performance by three drag artists, they would like to welcome everyone to join. A bar is available serving wines, beers, cocktails and food.

Ole & Steen

PROUDLY BAKING FOR PRIDE

Ole and Steen want all their guests, including those within the LGBTQ+ community, to feel that their bakeries are a place to feel at peace and have a Hygge moment. Sometimes those moments lend themselves as a time to reflect and perhaps prepare for important conversations. Their bakeries are also a great place to have conversations; shared over coffee and cake. There are big conversations to prepare for or have sometimes, such as how to deal with coming out, coming to terms with your sexual identity and where to find the support you may need.

Sometimes these conversations need a little guidance or even an unknown ear just to listen. Therefore throughout the month of June, in celebration of London Pride’s 50th anniversary, Ole and Steen are proud to support the LGBTQ+ helpline, Switchboard.
