BFI London Film Festival: Northbank Pop-Up Film Experience

Launching especially for London Film Festival, a new immersive film experience is set to entice visitors to The Northbank area. This free pop-up installation on Villiers Street, just moments away from the Embankment Garden Cinema, will be open throughout the festival showing BFI archive film of The Northbank area, including the riverside, Trafalgar Square and Victoria Embankment Gardens. The pop-up also features the fabulous performer Jonny Woo and a stunning audio of his poem, 'I Know Your Name'.

Black History Month: Africa in the Courtyard

Africa in the Courtyard will be held in The Courtyard at St. Martin in-the-Fields and will offer local residents, businesses and employees the chance to experience (and purchase a bit of) Africa without leaving the capital.

Christmas at the Museum

Santa will be visiting the London Transport Museum throughout December! Visit him in his secret hideaway, full of twinkling lights and comfy seats, or see if you can track him down in one of the heritage vehicles in the Museum for a super Santa selfie.

You can also take part in family activities including crafts and sing-along sessions.

Carol Singing at Trafalgar Square

From Monday 9 to Tuesday 24 December 2019 (excluding 14 and 22 December), over 40 carol singing groups will gather beneath the famous Trafalgar Square Christmas tree to delight bystanders.

Northbank BID’s Mental Health Discussion – Understanding Suicide

Join us for a discussion on mental health and understanding some of the processes that underlie suicidal thoughts.

Suicide is the most frequent cause of drowning in the River Thames, accounting for 90% of all deaths. Suicide related incidents account for approximately one half of the Search and Rescue (SAR) missions on the river.
