New London Architecture (NLA) have announced the New London Awards 2023 shortlisted projects and we are delighted to share that Strand Aldwych has been shortlisted in the public spaces category. The project has taken years of hard work by the Northbank team, the dedication of Westminster City Council and a large number of committed partners who believed in our shared vision for the area, and the opportunity that could be unlocked by taking it forward. LDA’s understanding of the location and sensitive design has created a safer, pedestrianised public space, a new creative hub for our capital and a backdrop for world-class events. The space has been opened up for workers, visitors, residents and future generations to enjoy and is transformational for our area.
Organised by NLA and supported by the Mayor of London, the New London Awards celebrates projects of varying scales across London. Shortlisted projects span twelve categories and three special prizes. For the next steps, an international jury will assess the shortlist and select the winners.
Members of the public also get the chance to have a say in the New London Awards, by voting for their favourite project to win the People’s Choice Award, so we need your support! You can vote for Strand Aldwych to win the People’s Choice Award by clicking here. The deadline to vote is 11:45pm on 8 October.
