Cleaning & Greening

Street services to improve the experience in the area.

Creating a high-quality public realm and environment has been a priority of The Northbank BID since its inception. The BID works collaboratively, to develop projects which boost the local economy, enhance the heritage and support the local community.

We work closely with asset managers, Westminster City Council, GLA, Transport for London and property owners to bring investment for local area enhancement. We provide a cohesive approach linking day to day area management and cleaning, designing out problem areas to strategic enhancement to support the area development pipeline.

We provide a collective strategic voice for local businesses for area, local authority and city consultations and policy.

Street maintenance

We know that people are attracted to clean, green areas for business and leisure, so to enhance The Northbank’s Public Realm reputation we are carrying out daily cleaning and reporting.

The team works to enhance Westminster’s capabilities by providing more targeted street cleaning and additional services like chewing gum and graffiti removal, and jet washing. The Northbank Ambassadors also carry out reporting of street maintenance issues to Westminster and TfL.

Northbank In Bloom

London in Bloom Awards, champion local businesses and communities who take care of the area with tidy streets, plants & floral displays and seeking ways to encourage biodiversity. Join us in the Northbank’s annual entry to help make our area a special place to live, work and do businesses.

If you already have flowers, we’d love to know more about them and if you wish to start, contact us for some guidance.

There is a plant and a flower to suit all spaces, be they office or hotel receptions, window display, roof terrace and planters at entrances. We’d like to know if you are inspired by flowers. Perhaps you can create a fantastic shop window display, mix a delicious cocktail or decorate a floral cupcake for the office. Send in images for the online gallery, instagram, facebook or tweet us.

London in Bloom judges the area under three categories:

  •         Horticultural Achievement
  •         Environmental Responsibility
  •         Community Participation

Northbank BID coordinates the entry for the area with businesses and properties in the area.
