From transformational street improvements to air quality initiatives, these are the projects that are important locally and to the rest of London.
A Northbank Public Realm Study & Vision identified over 100 project areas to improve, from lighting schemes to the major highway transformation of Strand/Aldwych. Air quality and its impact on the area has also played a vital role in the vision for the future, successfully being named a Business Low Emission Neighbourhood.
For each possible improvement it has been vital to work closely in collaboration with Westminster City Council, the GLA, TfL, asset and building managers, as well as the occupying businesses.
Each project aims to bring improvements that will help make the local area more pleasant for customers and staff, as well as helping businesses to gain through increased footfall, reduction their emissions and reduction of running costs
Working with local business and strategic partners we have been undertaking a series of activities to tackle local pollution and exposure to pollution. The BID worked with both GLA and Westminster City Council to develop Business Low Emission Neighbourhood (BLEN) and is continuing activities for re-planning deliveries and servicing, awareness raising campaigns, promoting walking and cycling and enhancing clean air walking routes and more.
We need your help to increase the overall impact.
