Barrafina Adelaide Street

Barrafina Adelaide Street, the second Barrafina restaurant from Harts Group, opened in July 2014.  The restaurant features a long marble-top bar where guests can sit and watch the chefs at work.

Chef Director, Angel Zapata Martin, leads the kitchen and menu development across all five Barrafina restaurants. Barcelona-born Angel brings extensive cooking experience to Barrafina from all over the world, including three Michelin-starred Catalan restaurant Can Fabes in Barcelona and a teaching stint at the internationally recognised Hofman School and its one Michelin-starred restaurant.

The menu is made up of classic and contemporary tapas, using meticulously sourced and seasonal ingredients from Spain and the British Isles. On the a la carte menu, there are dishes that are unique to Barrafina Adelaide including milk fed lamb’s kidneys, rafols salt cod a la Catalana, arroz de mariscos, dry aged sirloin with oloroso sauce and Iberian pork cheeks. There is also a daily specials menu. The Hart Bros Special Selection Manzanilla sherry can be ordered by the bottle or glass, whilst the succinct wine list matches the menu and includes some lesser known, interesting Spanish producers.

Barrafina Adelaide Street has a beautiful private dining room and open kitchen downstairs, where guests can watch the chef at work. The space can seat between 8 and 30 guests and can host standing drinks and pinxtos receptions for up to 50. Our feasting-style menus, designed to share, offer a taste of traditional cooking from across the vast and varied provincias of Spain. All guests are required to select the same menu and we can happily cater for vegetarian and vegan guests.
