The Devereux

The Devereux is situated in one of the most fascinating areas of London, surrounded by breathtaking architecture and steeped in ancient history. The pub backs onto the spectacular Grade I listed New Court Chambers, and the iconic Middle Temple Hall and the Royal Courts are both close by. Fleet Street, the fictional home of barber Sweeney Todd and the historic home of London’s press and printing industry, is just a minute away.

The Temple area was originally the home of the Knights Templar, a medieval Christian organisation, with the spectacular 12th century Temple Church at its epicentre. Wander through the alleyways and nearby streets and you’ll encounter historic courts, museums and libraries, plus serene gardens including Lincoln’s Inn Fields that stretches down to the banks of the River Thames. The Devereux pub is just five minutes walk from Temple Tube Station, meaning that we’re conveniently located wherever you and your guests are visiting from.
