Opera Tavern

Opera Tavern is a beautiful two-storey bar and restaurant in the heart of central London’s theatre land. Located on Catherine Street we are opposite the Drury Lane Theatre, seconds from the Opera House, a stone’s throw from The Strand.

A beautiful former pub, the exposed brickwork, bold artwork and flattering low lighting help our two-story restaurant create the perfect atmosphere for a pre-theatre meal or drink. The ground floor houses a long bar with the open grill at one end, and a few tables placed beside the theatre box windows, where guests can watch the world go by.

They specialise in Italian and Spanish influenced tapas and have a charcoal grill on the ground floor where they cook up all manner of tasty meaty treats.

Special Menu’s

A new lunch option at Opera Tavern Restaurant, provides one large plate served with a salad in cost of £10.

The options change weekly so enquire within … but here’s a taster of what they’ve seen before: minted lamb meatballs & roasted garlic mashed potato, OR field mushrooms with goats’ ricotta & roasted garlic potato (v).

Menu is available Monday – Friday 12pm-3pm.

Opera Tavern can accommodate parties of up to 16 guests.

Bookings for groups of 8 or more should be made by contacting them directly by email or telephone.
