Hidden away in Temple’s Legal quarter, the Devereux is an excellent spot for an after work tipple.
Opened in 1677 as The Grecian Coffee House, this historic pub was the favourite haunt of various historical figures, including Sir Isaac Newton, Sir Edmund Halley and Hans Sloane.
Newly reopened in 2019 as an independent pub, they have real ales, wines, gins, whiskeys as well as a great soft drinks selection. They also have Sky Sports to show the big matches (and even some of the smaller ones!), a weekly quiz and board games.
